About these terms

These terms apply when you book a course or class with Birth By You, buy from the Birth By You shop, or use this website. Birth By You is run by Shannon Santangelo. [Shannon to confirm: trading name and status, for example sole trader, and postal address.]

Not medical advice

Hypnobirthing courses and relaxation classes are birth preparation. They are not medical care and do not replace the advice of your midwife, doctor or other health professionals. Please follow their advice about your pregnancy and birth, and tell me about anything that affects how you can take part. [Shannon to confirm wording, and whether to ask about health before a course or class.]

Booking the 1:1 private class

• A free 30-minute chat comes first, with no obligation to book.
• The 1:1 private class costs £400 for you and your birth partner, and is 10 to 12 hours in total.
• Your place is confirmed once you have paid. [Shannon to confirm: full payment or a deposit, and when it is due.]
• We agree session dates together. [Shannon to confirm: how to rearrange a session, and how much notice you need.]

Relaxation classes

• Classes cost £60 for a block of four, or £20 a session.
• [Shannon to confirm: when payment is due, and whether a missed class in a block can be moved to a later week.]

Cancellations and refunds

[Shannon to confirm your cancellation and refund policy for the 1:1 private class and for relaxation classes, including what happens if your baby arrives before the course is finished, and what happens if I need to cancel or rearrange.]

If you book online or by phone or email, UK consumer law usually gives you 14 days to change your mind. [Shannon to confirm how this applies, for example if a course starts within those 14 days at your request.]

Group classes waitlist

Joining the group classes waitlist doesn’t commit you to anything. I’ll let you know when dates are ready.

Shop purchases

Digital products are sold through Gumroad, at shop.birthbyyou.com. Gumroad takes payment and delivers your purchase, and its terms also apply. [Shannon to confirm your refund policy for digital products.]

Course materials

Course materials and relaxation audios are for your own personal use. Please don’t share, copy or sell them. [Shannon to confirm wording.]
